Construction of an Individual House in Togo - 123 m2

ERHÉ Architecture is venturing outside France for the first time with this project. We had to conduct extensive research to develop an architecture rooted in the local environment and reflective of the context. By identifying specific distinctive regional characteristics such as arches and passageways, we paid tribute to the Togolese architectural language.

The house was designed to reduce its environmental and energy impact using traditional materials such as adobe walls, natural ventilation, and solar protection for the passageways. The construction features five walls that help structure the space, and the house's main areas are parallel. These areas include an entrance hall, a kitchen that opens onto the living room, a bedroom with a terrace, and a study.
