Design of an urban villa at Bordeaux-Bastide in an urban block
A couple with an entrepreneurial spirit has purchased a former storage building in the heart of Bordeaux Bastide development, a stone’s throw from the Sainte-Marie-de-la Bastide church. On one side, the building is adjacent to an existing structure; on the other, it opens onto a garden. The owners’ ideal is to live in an intimate microcosm sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city.

To attain this goal, we fully exploited the Local Urbanisation Plan to maximise the site’s potential. On the garden site, all spaces are designed with glass walls to create a discreet boundary between inside and outside. The family’s facilities, including a spa, lounge, dining room, and glazed car park, are on the ground floor, with the motorcars in full view, thanks to a glass corridor to link the distinct areas.

The first floor is designated for private spaces, such as bedrooms and bathrooms. The roof terrace, located above, features a solarium, swimming pool, and summer kitchen, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying long summer evenings with friends.
