Project to Build Seven Standalone Houses
Located in Saint-Jean-d'Illac, this collective housing project is set in a pine forest. The horizontality of its delicately built sequence contrasts with the surrounding trees' verticality and random rhythm.

A straightforward principle guides the task at hand: a closed volume housing technical areas alongside a living space open to the surrounding countryside.

The project proposes a continuum of residents' engagement with the space, from intimacy to togetherness.

You must first cross a public outdoor area to enter your private indoor space. You will then pass through a semi-private terrace to access the shared garden, which is open to all residents. The ground floor houses the day areas connected to the outside, while the night areas are upstairs.

Each dwelling can be customised from a studio flat to a four-room residence.
