Upward Extension of a Bordeaux Typical One-Storey House

The project involves raising the height of the existing house to create a bedroom and bathroom. This will be the first elevation on a street lined with one-storey homes. The idea is to create a contrast between the new and the existing structures and to stack volumes with a unique architectural design. The steel cladding adds a modern touch to the facade, while the champagne-coloured joinery complements the blond Bordeaux stone. Inside, two rooms facing each other are separated by the shower room, and inhabited walls are used to maximise the volume of the rooms.
